On Sunday, July 5, 2009 we welcomed our new pastors to First Church.

Keith Perry introduced Michael Love, Laurie McHugh and Cate Noellert to the children. The kids even had some great questions for them!

Worship Hour

Worship Hour is from 10:25 am -11:30 am

Childcare is available for children under five years old Noah's Ark Nursery during the worship hour.

We encourage children to remain with their families for the entire worship service. We often have a special children’s sermon during the service. Worship activity packs are available on the children's table in the Narthex.

Sunday School

Our Bible-based curriculum is designed to nurture the children in their faith journey.

Sunday School meets from 9:00 am - 9:50 am

We have separate classes for:

• Preschool (3-4 years old)
• Grades K-1
• Grades 2-3
• Grades 4-5

After Sunday School from 9:50 am - 10:20 am children are invited to attend Children & Youth Choir Rehearsal.

Sunday Child Care

We offer child care on Sunday mornings from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm.

Infant Care is available in the Noah's Ark Nursery, and toddler care is available in the Ladybug Room.

Our staff consists of professional caregivers and trained volunteers.

When bringing their children for care, parents will be provided with a pager in the event that they need to be contacted.

First School Preschool

FirstSchoolLogo15081.gifFirst Palo Alto is home to the First School preschool.

First School is an integral part of the education and outreach ministries of the church. It is open to children of all races, religions and national origins. Art, drama, music, stories gymnastics, cooking and nature study, with an emphasis on social development and Kindergarten readiness are included.

Part or full-time programs are available to toilet-trained children, ages 2-1/2 to 6 years old. We have a ratio of 1 teacher for each 5 children, and we are open Monday - Friday 7:40 am - 4:00 pm year-round.

First School is licensed by the state of California Social Services Department and is staffed by qualified and experienced teachers.
