Calling all children! You're invited to our new child-friendly, discovery-oriented, worship experience where kids can be all that makes them kids.

Who?
Children in grades K-5

What?
Children’s “hands on” worship held during the 10:25 hour.

When?
Kids will be invited from the 10:25 am worship service and return before the closing.

Where?
Guided to the tree house… A unique worship space created in one of our Sunday School Rooms

Why?
To help children into a child-friendly, discovery-oriented, worship experience where they can be all that makes them kids

Easter Sunday Worship

You are invited to join us during Holy Week

• Palm Sunday - March 28

     • 10:25am Worship Service
        - Pastor Laurie will preach Let Us Fix Our Eyes on Jesus: Triumph.
        - Our 2nd-5th graders will sing "O Sing Unto the Lord

• Reading: Luke 19:28-40

• Holy Thursday - April 1

      • 6:30pm Experience a dramatized Last Supper and Chancel Choir
         presentation of “Shadows” by Douglas Wagner, directed by Mark Shaull.

• Reading: John 13:1-17, 31-35

• Easter Vigil - April 3

      • 8:30pm Vigil and Service with United Campus Christian Ministry
         - At Stanford University, 3rd floor, Old Union building (not Memorial Church).

• Easter Sunday - April 4

     • Easter Sunrise Service, Memorial Garden, 6:30am

     • Breakfast at the Easter Cafe, Kohlstedt Hall, 7:30am to 10:15am
        - Join us for breakfast between the two services

     • Easter Service - Sanctuary, 10:25am
        -Pastor Michael will preach Discover Hope Today

• Reading: John 20:1-18

At the end of the service you are invited to join us on the chancel steps to sing the Hallelujah Chorus.

Easter Gifts and Photos - There will be Easter gifts for the children, and Free Easter Photos with Family or Friends available after both Easter morning services

to the community sing of the Hallelujah Chorus from a prior Easter Sunday

English Worship Services

You are invited to join us for worship every Sunday morning.

• Our Sunday worship service starts at 10:25 AM and is held in the Sanctuary.

You are also invited to join one of our Christian Education Classes before worship.

Fijian Services

A Fijian fellowship is part of our Church.

Their services are conducted in the Fijian language.

They worship in our Chapel on Sundays at 10:30 AM

First Tongan United Methodist Church of Palo Alto

The First Tongan United Methodist Church of Palo Alto shares our facilities.

Their services are conducted mostly in the Tongan language.

They worship in the Sanctuary at 3 PM on Sundays and at 7 PM on Wednesdays.

Videos Of Our Worship Services

Did you know that DVD's, videotapes (and audiotapes) of our worship services are available?

Five high quality cameras – purchased with Memorial funds – record the 10:25am service, as well as memorial services. VHS Videotapes of three month’s services are kept in the Church Library and available for loan.

For minimal cost, DVD's and videotapes can be purchased as a keepsake, or to send to friends or relatives. For example: a videotape of a service of baptism could be sent to out-of-state grandparents. Or you might want to start a library of special performances by our choirs.
